Recipe: Cranberry Orange Baked Brie

This brie recipe makes good use of any leftover cranberry orange sauce you may have this holiday season.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of crescent rolls, refrigerated
  • 1 round or wedge of Brie cheese (with rind)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup leftover cranberry orange relish (depending how much Brie is used)
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • Sprinkle of light brown sugar (if desired)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 F, and lightly grease a cookie sheet or cover with parchment paper.
2. Unroll the crescent rolls on the cookie sheet, pinching the perforations closed.
3. Put the Brie on top of the dough.
4. Evenly add the cranberry orange relish to the top of the Brie.
5. Pull the dough up over the Brie, with the seams facing up. Cut off any extra dough as you go, then pinch the seams together.
6. Drizzle or brush the melted butter over the dough and sprinkle the brown sugar on top.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the pastry turns golden brown.
8. Remove and allow to stand at room temperature for 8 to 10 minutes.
