I’m a huge fan of polka dots, and will be doing a series of posts highlighting some of the best polka dot designs and products I’ve found (mostly on Zazzle and Amazon,
Strictly speaking, polka dots are spots that are spaced at regular intervals, but I’ve also included spotty mugs with patterns that are more random or irregular. I’m guessing that spot/dot lovers will like both types 
So, in no particular order, here’s a (rather lengthy) list of my favourite spotty and polka dot coffee mugs on Zazzle – hopefully it’ll make your search for the perfect polka dots mug a bit easier!
1. Amber Polka Dots Coffee Mug by mugsrus
This is a nice simple classic mug to start with, in white with relatively small but cheerful orange polka dots. Like most of the mugs in this selection, it’s available in a variety of sizes and mug types (such as steins and travel mugs), and you can customise it by adding text, or by changing the colour of the spots to any other colour you prefer (to do this, click the ‘Customize it’ button on the listing page, and then go to the ‘Edit’ menu, and select ‘Background’).
2. Big Polka Dots Pattern Mug by annaleeblysse
If large polka dots are more your thing, here’s a black and white polka dot mug with big black spots on a white background. This mug also has a nice looking black trim on the handles and rim, to match the design, but it’s available as a plain white mug too (as well as other variations) if you prefer.
3. Black Polka Dots Mug by purplestuff
This mug has more black dots, but this time on a light purple background. Like the previous mug, it has a black trim by default. Here’s another by the same designer in the same colour, but with slightly larger spots. I love purple too, so that’ll be showing up quite a bit in my selections!
4. Pink & White Polka Dot Mug by pinkgifts4you
For something a bit softer, here’s a pretty pink mug with white polka dots (a version with black dots is also available here).
5. Blue & Green Dots Coffee Mug by BrattiGrl
Here’s something a bit different – this mug has blue dots against a rich green background, but rather than being a solid colour, both the spots and the background have a nice painted effect.
6. Color Circles Mug by siffert
This is a brightly coloured mug with multi-coloured irregular spots against a textured yellow background. The spots have a slight 3D effect, and the mug is completely customizable. Other mugs with a similar design but different colours, are also available from the same seller.
7. Black & Blue Polka Dots Mug by designs4you
We’ve already seen some mugs with large polka dots, but they don’t come close to the giant dots on this blue mug – great for making a statement! If you like, you can change the background colour to a different shade.
8. Customizable Purple Polka Dots Mug by Psychotropia

It features glowing purple dots against a black background. The background colour is customisable, so you can change it if you prefer.
9. Cute Ladybug Mug With Polka Dots by bugspot
With most of the mugs on this list, the polka dots are the main feature, but I couldn’t resist including this one, which features little spotted red ladybirds, with a red and black polka dot trim along the bottom and top of the mug.
10. Ladybug Coffee Mug In Red & Black by Ladiebug
If the bugs aren’t quite your thing, but you like the colours of the above mug, here’s an alternative, with black dots on a red background.
11. Fizzy Raspberry Mug by FunkyStuff
This is another cute mug, with large and small spots in a pinky-purple colour, with a background and border in a similar shade. This seller also has various other mugs with this design in different colours, which are worth a look also.
12. Black & White Iolanthe Polka Dot Mug by SayItWithColor
This is a striking mug, with blue/purple dots in mixed sizes and a black background. This seller has other colours available too.

Here’s a cheerful mug in vibrant orange with large black spots and black trim – perfect for brightening up a dull day!
14. Pink Cupcakes With Brown Polka Dots Mug by runninragged
Pink and brown is a popular colour combo right now, and this adorable mug shows them off to good effect, with a cute pink and brown cupcake, and brown polka dots against a pink background.
15. Polka Dot Blue Mug by forbes1954
Here’s another nice variation on the standard polka dot theme. This white mug has a blue coloured star/flower type pattern on the front, which branches off into polka dots at the sides of the mug.
16. Tiny Black Dots Mug by designs4you
We’ve seen some bold mugs with large polka dots, so here’s the opposite for those who like a more understated design – very small dots, on a white mug (as usual, the mug background colour is customisable).
17. Blue Polka Dots Coffee Mug by Ladiebug
This is another stylishly simple design with deep blue dots on a white background. This mug option also has a blue-lined interior, to match the spotty pattern.
18. Polka Dot Ribbons Ceramic Mug by Duhlar
Here’s an unusual and eye-catching spotty mug – it has a striped ribbon design in pretty pink, yellow, purple and green colours, with white polka dots and a pink interior.
19. Purple Polka Dots Mug by purplestuff
Another purple spotty mug – I couldn’t resist! This one has deep purple polka dots and a dusky pink background.
20. Rainbow Polka Dots Travel Mug by Psychotropia
Here we have white – or in this case, transparent – polka dots against a bright rainbow-hued background, which stretches around the surface of the mug. A travel mug is shown here, but this design is available on normal mugs too (and most of the other mugs in this list are also available as travel mugs).
21. White on Black Polka Dots Coffee Mug by crypticfragments
Bold multi-sized white spots on a plain black background make this a simple, yet striking design.
22. Pink & White Dotted Mug (Personalized) by 369Design
If you want to add your name to your mug, or buy a personalized mug as a gift, this is a pretty design with a space for doing just that. The mug has a pink and black colour scheme, with white polka dots on the black area. Tip – if your name is too long to fit in the area provided, click ‘Customize it’ and you can change the font to a smaller size (or a different font, if you prefer).
23. White & Blue Polka Dots Coffee Mug by Craftyville
This mug has spots in different sizes and different shades of blue, against a blue gradient background. A nice cool-toned design.
24. Pink & Purple Spotty Travel Mug by Psychotropia
Here’s another stainless steel travel mug, this time with an irregularly sized spotty design in pink and purple. Again, this design is also available on a white mug, with a customisable background colour.
25. Striped Mug With Spots by Marilyn58
Spots and stripes combine in this unusual mug, which has a vertical striped pattern in blue, pink and green tones, with spots over the top.
